eFootball, previously known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), International Superstar Soccer Pro (ISS Pro), or Winning Eleven (WE) in Japan, is a series of football simulation video games created by Shingo Takatsuka. These games have been developed and released annually from 1995 to 2021. Starting in 2021, they transitioned to a free-to-play model under the management of Konami’s Tokyo division.
The eFootball series has gained prominence in the world of eSports through its official global championship, formerly known as the PES League, which has been renamed eFootball.Open since the 2020 edition. This championship is now a part of the broader eFootball League.
